Tessuti Awards 2010
Linen and Lace, by Romayne Scott
About my Linen and Lace
- Pattern Used: My own design
- Fabrics Used: Linen: Tessuti's - Today’s Peach. Lace: Tessuti's - Solstiss Greige Chantilly Lace. Lining: Vintage Silk.
- Time To Create: Approx 45 hours
- Dress Influenced By: The dress reflects a vintage 50s silhouette including a slim waist, full skirt and high neckline, which I thought suited the fabrication of linen and lace while also fitting into the upcoming 'Ladylike' fashion trend. To give the dress a modern edge however I also incorporated a plunging back and decorative lace paneling.
- Additional Information: The dress is fully lined aside from the lace panels on the bodice allowing them to be sheer focal points. The dress also has an invisible zip side closure and rolled hems.
