About My Dress

Raw silk, Silk taffeta and Chiffon

Time To Create:
I worked on this design over 3 weeks. All up it would have taken around 20 Hours

Dress Influenced By:
Various investigations in shape, form, volume, texture and construction and my interests in the relationship between architecture and the female form have informed my graduating collection in which this dress was the final design.
Architecture and Fashion are both about the creation of cultural artifacts, however fashion shares a more intimate relationship with the body.
Fashion creates environments for our identities. Ornament has become a key theme in my collection whereby identity is derived through embellishment.
