About My Dress

Pattern Used:
My own design

Fabrics Used:
Gold Polyester

Time To Create:
8 Hours

Dress Influenced By:
Various investigations in shape, form, volume, texture and construction and my interests in the relationship between architecture and the female form have informed my graduating collection in which this dress was the final design. Architecture and Fashion are both about the creation of cultural artifacts, however fashion shares a more intimate relationship with the body. Fashion creates environments for our identities. Ornament has become a key theme in my collection whereby identity is derived through embellishment.

Additional Information:
This dress is really unique. When putting the dress on your simply pull it on like a sock. Due to the Shirring technique used, the gathered part of the dress is stretchy.
