I've been wanting to do a similar design for myself for sometime now, I was just needing a little incentive. I have redesigned the dress slightly from my original idea to fit in better with the fabric I chose

I usually start with the material and create a design based on the look and feel of the fabric. I then sketch out an idea and attempt to make it.
