Dress Influenced By:
I wanted to use contrasting fabrics in an interesting and textured way. I wanted a chic dress that drapes well and flatters the body by drawing in the waist. The front bodice has been created by weaving together self made and sewn bias cut strips into a lattice design.
The neckline and armhole edges have been bound with navy Crepe De Chine self made bias binding.
The edges of the mock wrap skirt have been finished with contrasting self made bias binding and there is gathering around the waist to make the skirt drape softly.
The dress has a side invisible zipper and is fully lined using Crepe De Chine.
