About My Dress
Pattern Used:
My own design
Fabrics Used:
Spot on Navy !00 % silk. Also 100%navy silk lining
Time To Create:
2 months my model lives 900 driving miles from me. We sent the muslin mock up dress back and forth for fit.
Dress Influenced By:
A picture of my model (Sara) on her boat inspired the idea of creating a classic, ageless and elegant dress that would work for many sizes. Whatever a woman wears it is important that her clothes fit her shape. A women needs in her wardrobe a go to dress she can count on to work for many occasions. This dress has removable ties It can be worn as a halter or strapless. With a few accessories you can change the look from casual to more of an elegant look. The fabric that I selected gives the dress a nice flow. The bodice is lined in a cotton batting . The entire dress is lined with a silk lining.
Additional Information:
This project was a labor of love. I wish to thank Sara for inspiring me and modeling, Thank you to Neil for taking the photo's and use of his amazing boat and marina setting. Marilyn thank you for doing the make-up...A big hug to my assistant Catie. I live in Iowa and went to Colorado where my model lives for the photo shoot.
