Dress Influenced By:
This piece was inspired by traditional Peruvian clothing. I wanted to capture their crisp, structural form, and strong, colour blocking. However, rather then using surface decorations to provide interest I wanted to incorporate the detailing in to the structure of the garment itself to give it a more contemporary feel. The striped fabric is used to accentuate the detailing on the top of the dress mapping the fabric as it flows down the body.
