Fabrics Used:
The Navy Stripe, Spot On Navy - both 100% Silk Twill. French Blue Remus - 100% Wool Faille. French Navy Empire Wool Crepe. Underlined with Cotton Batiste and in parts, Silk Organza. Lined with Silk Charmeuse.
Time To Create:
2.5 months - pattern, toiles and fitting included.
Dress Influenced By:
With the theme being Spots & Stripes, I thought of vintage styles of the 50's and 60's. Wiggle dresses that emphasize curves and femininity. I liked the idea of a peplum to add some fun and interest to the fitted silhouette.
Additional Information:
This is the first dress that I have designed. It's also my first time working with silk and the other luxurious fabrics that I have used on this dress. I've learnt so much in this process and am very excited about future projects.
