Dress Influenced By:
I tried to create a garment that uses spot tulle, but doesn't emphasise the dots. I find that polkadot patterns could be overbearing, especially if utilised as a whole dress.
I've also tried to use several techniques while creating the dress, I've made a corseted bodice with stitching lines on the side panel, and have the spotted tulle draped and stitched above the bodice. I've also created a bubble skirt, in an organic form, thus the drape is more slanted to the side. The bodice base is in pink colour, whereas the skirt in a white cotton fabric providing a slight contrast.
To create a crisper look, I've made a detachable collar to make the dress less formal and more day wear in a contrast mint colour.
Most importantly I want this dress to be wearable and elegant.
