My inspiration was both its intended recipient, and the common thread of weddings and a day at the races - that is pretty dresses and sore feet!!
I wanted to make something that was beautiful, that would look amazing at the beginning of the celebration, and still look great once the heels were off and the havianas were on!
Additional Information:
Being new to sewing, I also wanted to challenge myself to make the finishing to the highest standard I could achieve.
As I don't have an overlocker, I used french seams for the georgette and have created a double layer of lining in the slinky jersey which both hides the seams and ensures that the dress always falls freely from the body.

Wow, such a hidden talent. Truely some amazing work and so soon afer picking up the hobbie. I am sure you would be able to keep busy with a steady interest of requests from the local market. :)
