Dress Influenced By:
My dress is influenced by the lines of glam dresses of the twenties era. I tend to be partial to less form fitting dresses but ones that still have very feminine qualities at necklines and the waist.
Additional Information:
I had the idea to do pleats/ tucks on the stripes to give the impression of blocks of colour. I wanted to create something that would be easy on the eyes despite the mesmerising look of stripes. I used a track to the front of the dress to route the waistband to preserve the look of the solid blue line to the front. The dress can however be worn with any belt of choice. I've never worked with this kind of soft silk before and so it was a bit challenging working with it to prevent shifting. Due to this main challenge I refer to the I to the dress as "Mathematical Mayhem" and you can see why!
