Dress Influenced By:
I wanted to have fun and make a dress that didn't make me look middle aged even though I am (nearly).
I had my mum in mind as she will most likely steal the dress off me now it's finished.
An LBD for the Oscars has to be slightly more glamorous than your standard nato LBD.

Additional Information:
Why make one dress when you can make 2 for twice the price!
I was getting niggly feelings about having not entered a LBD so decided very last minute to get some fabric sent over and double my chances of not winning a trip to New York.
All fabric except the velvet bodice overlay is from tessuti. Lots of fun sewing 5m of organza flounces and I must buy myself a night light as I noticed my zip was navy blue when I tried it on today.

Sorry Mum. the necklace is permanently attached. You can't have it back :)
